Real estate developers have a unique opportunity to give back to their communities through their developments. It is imperative that that all developers have a high sense of moral duty to the people they serve.
Real estate development is the ultimate entrepreneurial venture. A developer takes a piece of land and goes through the necessary steps and procedures to go from a vision in the mind to a tangible development. The MLPD program has given me the skill set to understand the vast amount of opportunities in real estate. In LDEV 669 – Income Property Land Development, me teammate and I were tasked to propose a site plan for a potential investment opportunity. Given the site survey, detention, and parking requirements, we conceptualized a sketch of individual lots that the building pads would be set on. Shown below is the site survey along with the proposed site plan.
