ULI “is the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world. ULI is its members—delivering the mission, shaping the future of the industry, and creating thriving communities around the globe”. The organization also “provides leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide”.
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is the global trade association of the shopping center and retail real estate industry. Founded in 1957, it features more than 70,000 members in over 100 countries, including shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers and brokers, as well as academics and public officials. As the global industry trade association, ICSC links with more than 25 national and regional shopping center councils throughout the world.
CCIM Houston / Gulf Coast Chapter
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. The designation is awarded by the CCIM Institute, formerly known as Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CIREI) of the National Association of Realtors. The CCIM designation was originally established by the California Association of Realtors in 1954 under the name Certified Property Exchanger (CPE).]
Aggie Real Estate Network
The Aggie Real Estate Network strives to educate, promote and support commercial real estate professionals to become industry leaders, network with their peers, provide scholarships to current students, and support the real estate programs at Texas A&M University.
NAIOP
NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, is the leading organization for developers, owners and investors of office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate. NAIOP comprises 19,000+ members and provides strong advocacy, education and business opportunities through a powerful North American network.
NAIOP began in 1967 and has retained through all these years its core group of developer members. The association began as a small group of owners and developers of industrial parks in the eastern U.S. who formed the National Association of Industrial Parks (NAIP) to facilitate a forum for the open exchange of information on development. They also had a need for standardized covenants and restrictions, building requirements, and beneficial legislation and taxation. Nine individuals first met on September 12, 1967, in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
